We intricately examine the election scenario, its complex intricacies, changing moods of voters, the issues at play during the polls and often, the dramatic changes that punctuate the election scene with different styles of campaigning that are driven by political ironies and realities.

In a country like India which is so vivid and diversified, there are different aspirations and views that each voter has. We map all that. It is so fascinating to see how different people react depending on their age, their social status and the backgrounds they come from. Various influences are at work. As researchers we cannot help getting excited as each piece of information opens up our perspective helping us hit the target in a facile way as the science of predicting outcomes cannot fail if done scientifically.

CORAL, our methodology, is an impeccable analysis program fashioned in such a way to accurately predict popular sentiments and the way the wind is blowing. It can help candidates make a course correction if they see the reason to.

The mainstream media has been left behind by a dynamic social media that is very active and growing by the day, and emerging as the new alternative mainstream media. This has thrown up a new platform to the masses to critically examine politicians and do a post-mortem of their policies. This results in rapid changing opinions. This makes the task of analysis tougher but at the same time very challenging.

Today, it is the collective mandate guided by individual decisions that bring a party or person into power. Actually, there is much more to it than is visible to the naked eye. When we look at an iceberg, we see only 10 per cent of its size. As much as 90 per cent is hidden under the sea surface. Elections are like icebergs. The results reflected on the day of counting are only a mere reflection of the work and the processes completed in the past. This is where professional organisations like ours play a vital role.

Mr. Ramesh Menon

Policy Adviser

Ramesh Menon, is an author, journalist, documentary filmmaker, and corporate trainer. He was born in Bangalore on 18 October 1955. He grew up in Pune. He completed his B.A. (English Lit.) from Nowrosjee Wadia College and completed his B.J. (Bachelor of Journalism) from the University of Poona. He then completed his Masters in Mass Communication.

Mr. Shamshad Khan

Managing Director

Shamshad Khan completed a course in Journalism from Sri Aurobindo Centre for Arts & Communication. He got into election research soon after and excelled with his prediction and analysis. His analysis has been used by numerous television and print publications. His passion for election related research and analysis led him to set up PEACS and enjoys. He is getting paid for having fun, he says.

Dr. Nimisha Gupta

Head of Social Research Team

Dr. Nimisha Gupta is a pioneer in the field of social work. She has done her Post Graduation in Social Work from the Lucknow University. Her PhD dealt with “Women Self-Help Groups and its Impact on the Status of Women.” She is an Assistant Professor at Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith University, Department of Social Work. She has been there since 2003. She heads the Social Research Team at PEACS Media and all the social research done here is under her guidance.

Altab Khan

IT Head

Has done Engineering in computer science with honors from Rajasthan university in2005. Having more than 15 years of experience in IT, started his career from Hexaware Technologies as a software engineer in Chennai from 2006 to 2014 and then moved to USA as IT Project manager from 2014 to 2017.He has worked for AIG and CAPELA University (clients of Hexaware) in New York and Minneapolis. Currently leading the IT department of PEACS Media from 2017 onwards and responsible for all IT related work.

Dr. Sanjay Vijayvergiya

Principal Advisor

Sanjay Vijayvergiya is Post Graduate in Economics and Management of Business Finance, having more than 25 years of experience in the field of socio-economic research, studies and public policy analysis. Sanjay is Principal Advisor at PEACS.

Gagan Gautam

Economics Research Head

Gagan Gautam has done masters in Economics from Rajasthan University in 2008, having a strong research interest in economics related aspects of society and having more than 12 years of experience in research. He is part of PEACS media from 2016 onwards and currently leading many research projects.

Dr Kiran Singh

Research Head

Masters in public Administration. PHD in Management and Research She is part of peacs media from 2015 onwards and currently leading many research projects.

Mohd Nazim

Research Co-Ordinator

Mohd Nazim has studied Journalism and Mass Communication from IIMT University, Meerut. He is specialist in managing election research and performed election research in many state assembly election as well as parliament elections. He is associated with PEACS Media for more than 5 years and responsible for collecting data, analyzing it and providing ultimate graphical presentation.

Mr. Aseem Chandra

Senior Legal Head & RTI Consultant

Aseem Chandra has an impeccable reputation of a trust worth and efficient lawyer. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and completed his LLB from Lucknow University. He specialises in Civil Cases and RTI Cases. He has been practicing in the Supreme Court for the past 10 years.
