Votes and seats

Every party’s votes and seats in both elections.

Read this before comparing. An Assembly election and a Lok Sabha election are different contests. The two sheets also use different assembly lists and numbering (only some seat names overlap), so seat-by-seat comparison is not shown. Alliances changed between the two elections, and votes for candidates outside the listed parties are grouped as “Others”. CPI(M) has its own column in 2021 but none in the 2024 sheet, so its 2024 votes sit in “Others”.

Source: 2021 assembly and 2024 Lok Sabha result sheets for Assam, as supplied to PEACS. [CONFIRM SOURCE BEFORE PUBLISHING] · Vote totals are the sum of the party columns in the sheet. A blank party column means the sheet shows no separate vote figure for that party in that seat, so it may not have contested or its votes may sit in “Others”. “Others” combines all other candidates. Margin = winner minus runner-up as a share of votes counted. In the Lok Sabha tab a segment’s “leader” is the party with most votes inside that segment; the constituency winner is decided on all its segments together. Analysis by PEACS Research.
